The Credit Union Difference

As a credit union, we are a not-for-profit financial cooperative, which means we operate to serve our member-owners. This makes us quite different from other financial institutions. Our non-profit status means that we return net earnings to our members in the form of lower interest rates on loans, higher dividends on savings, and lower fees.

Our goal is to build lifetime relationships by continually expanding products and services while emphasizing financial security, quality, and convenience in an environment that values and respects members, employees, and business partners.

Why Copper State Credit Union?

In April 2019, Canyon State Credit Union and Deer Valley Credit Union announced a collaborative partnership with the intent to merge in the Fall of 2019.  The Board of Directors and executive teams of both Deer Valley Credit Union and Canyon State Credit Union recognize this merger will create a more competitive organization and allow us to offer more products, services, and convenient branch locations than ever before, which in turn, will benefit both our members and employees.

This partnership reflects the efforts of two financially strong credit unions to merge their values, philosophies, and commitments to the members they serve.  It is not a buy out or acquisition of one credit union over another, but truly a collaborative commitment to the future of our members and employees.

Who Are the Employees of Copper State Credit Union?

Considering our long-standing dedication to personal service and genuine concern for our members, it wasn’t surprising that when asked, employees and members alike responded with glowing attributes of the credit union. We were pleased that these adjectives were used to describe the hard-working employees of both credit unions:

  • Initiative-taking

  • Honest

  • Friendly

  • Caring

  • Attentive

  • Helpful

  • Genuine

Above all, members of both credit unions value our commitment to go the extra mile to put each member in a better financial state regardless of his or her current situation. We want to be with our members over the long haul, for all their financial “firsts” and “finals,” and as a resource on which they can always rely. We commit ourselves to helping them; we want to know our members personally and treat them as individuals. We will continue to stand out from our competition by the quality of service and genuine care for which we are known.

If you portray the qualities above in your daily life, we want you to join our team! We offer competitive pay and great benefits to our staff.

Due to the volume of interest, neither credit union responds to the submission of every résumé. In addition, submission of your résumé to our email does not constitute the completion of an Employment Application. Candidates who the Credit Union determines to be the best qualified for the positions of interest are contacted to begin the interview process.
